Throwback to an awesome weekend in Liptov

Just before another wave of coronavirus engulfed the world, we managed to enjoy the last summer days in Liptov.

Last year, we were lucky enough to travel to Tenerife. This year, due to travel restrictions and safety measures we have decided to spend an extended weekend together in wooden chalets in Liptov, Slovakia. And we couldn’t have chosen better...

We picked this location mainly due to the beautiful nature and a wide selection of team activities, which makes Liptov an ideal place for team retreats.

The chalets were located in Liptovský Trnovec. Each one of them had its own garden, outdoor seating, and enough privacy to make us feel like we are there alone. Perfect for barbecue evenings!

We were surrounded by beautiful meadows and mountains, and the Liptovská Mara dam was close to the cottages as well. It sounds like a cliché, but the sunsets and morning dew gives this place a really great vibe.

In addition to chilling and barbecuing, we have prepared a lot of other exciting activities, such as go-kart racing, river sailing, and laser arena fights. We’ve also visited Tatralandia (one of the biggest waterparks in Slovakia) and went “little-children-crazy” for a while.

It was only a few days, but we had such a busy schedule that we needed another vacation after this one. But I guess that means it was a time well-spent, right??

The opportunity to spend time together, have fun, and relax in a circle of friends is rare nowadays but more important than ever. And we are glad that we managed to do this at the end of September before we had to keep our distance and minimize social contact again. I believe that by the time spring comes, everything will return to normal and we will be able to plan another trip!
